Warung Ari: Sate Lilit

The traditional Balinese minced fish satay, served with rice, handmade fish meatball soup, and chili. Vegetable can be added as per request. Choices of veggies are Urap (Mixed veggie and nuts with coconut shave – as pictured), or Kangkung Plecing (Boiled kangkong and chili). They also sell non-minced fish meat satay and Pepes Ikan (steamed fish meat in banana leaves).

The satay has a nice balance of sweetness and a mild spice taste. It goes very well with the chili served. The soup, looks clear yet full of flavor, and even though it’s rather too spicy for our taste buds, it’s too good to not finish the whole bowl. Open daily 7am – 4pm only, sometimes close on weekends.

Location: Jl. Tukad Pakerisan, right before Renon/Waturenggong Junction, South Denpasar

Price: IDR 10.000 – 15.000 /person incl. drink
